More and more Floriday users are requesting a CheckUp. In this three-part series, we ask users about their experiences. In this third part, we talk to Kimmy de Lijster, who works in the sales back office at Kokoplant from Poeldijk. We ask Kimmy about her experiences with the CheckUp on the basis of five questions.

In the floriculture chain, placing stickers on orders is essential to the processing of the products further in the chain. Many different types of stickers are used for this. ‘Not ideal’ according to many growers. That is why at Floriday, we are looking into introducing a single ‘sector sticker’ which growers, buyers and their customers can use to organise processes more efficiently. Which possibilities does this provide for growers and buyers? We spoke about this with Danny van Bergen-Henegouwen, Purchasing Director of FM Group.

Growers, buyers and agents who are linked via Floriday's API link can expect a new update of the API link as of 9 May. Direct Bidding was launched a fortnight ago; a new way of trading through online bidding. Since then, more than 450 supply rows have been offered and the first deals have been closed. We have already received a great deal of valuable feedback from the first users, which will help us making Direct Bidding even easier. For example, two new features were developed and added to Direct Bidding this week: a promotion button and notifications for growers and buyers.

On Tuesday April 5th, a new way of trading went live in the Floriday screens: Direct Bidding. With Direct Bidding, buyers and growers can trade with each other through online bidding. A first group of growers has started and Direct Bidding supply is open to all buyers.

Are you as a buyer curious about the availability of trade items from certain growers? In Floriday, you can place requests for quotes on supply or on the trade items that the grower has in its catalogue. With the Trade item explorer, which is recently available in Floriday, buyers can now easily make this request after composing their assortment.

Since the beginning of the summer, growers' associations can also be active on Floriday. In the meantime, several months have passed and the number of digital shopping streets has grown significantly. Novelties receive full attention from Royal FloraHolland in the media, trade fairs and other initiatives such as the Trade Fair Aalsmeer, the online Novelties Parade and the Glazen Tulp Award.

Floriday provides various ways to offer supply to buyers. For example, the special offer feature in Floriday is the ideal way to quickly create special offers for buyers. On Friday 1 May 2020, Floriday will kick off an information campaign for growers and customers about the 100% Digital programme. By the end of 2020, all transactions on the Royal FloraHolland marketplace will take place digitally. The digital transition means that growers and buyers on the Royal FloraHolland marketplace will in future do business in a different way. Basically, Connect-EAB is being phased out and transactions will be initiated directly through Floriday. Growers can already use Floriday for their day-to-day trading. Work is currently underway finalising functionality for buyers, so that there will be one central place for them to go for supply information and up-to-date pricing.
