Data

Floriday gives data the attention it deserves. Our point of departure is that a grower’s data is and remains their property. Only data that is required to offer the functions that the grower needs is used.

The grower’s personal data is protected well, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which has been in effect since 25 May 2018. Royal FloraHolland oversees compliance with this regulation.

Buyers can only see growers’ data that has been made public/published by the grower in question. For example, if a grower assigns supply to FloraMondo, the buyers connected to FloraMondo will see this supply. Buyers have no access to, for instance, growers’ transaction data with other buyers, or historical price information relating to the grower.

Communication between your system and Floriday is well protected so that others cannot tap or change your data. Floriday makes use of Transport Layer Security (TLS) to secure data while it is in transit. Among other things, TLS ensure that data in transit cannot be altered. TLS technology is extremely secure and is, for instance, also used in online banking.

Users notice very little of this. It is important that you use the latest versions of your operating system and web browser to ensure that TLS 1.2 is supported. Only then will your data be secure during transmission.
