Floriday sneak preview for buyers at TradeFair Naaldwijk

By the end of 2020, all transactions on the Royal FloraHolland marketplace will take place digitally. The digital transition means that growers and buyers on the Royal FloraHolland marketplace will in future do business in a different way. Basically, Connect-EAB is being phased out and transactions will be initiated directly through Floriday. Growers can already use Floriday for their day-to-day trading. Work is currently underway finalising functionality for buyers, so that there will be one central place for them to go for supply information and up-to-date pricing. We will be showcasing this functionality at Trade Fair Naaldwijk. So, visit our stand for a sneak preview!

100% Digital means that all direct trade flows will always be initiated by the buyer, based on the supply that a grower has made available online. In the current way of working, purchasers often face the problem that real-time, current supply information from growers is unavailable. Bringing supply and demand together on one platform will speed up and improve mutual information exchange, and the information will be more reliable and customer-focused.

Buyer screens in Floriday

The first components for buyers in Floriday are currently being designed and developed. Buyers will soon be able to purchase their flowers and plants through screens in Floriday. They will also be able to use the buyer dashboard if buyers use their own software. The buyer dashboard will be linked to your own software package and matches the grower’s supply fields. These components will first be tested by a number of buyers to ensure that they meet buyer requirements. During the TradeFair Naaldwijk on 11 and 12 March, the Floriday Team will demonstrate the developments to date.

Information sessions for buyers

Floriday is organising sessions to explain to buyers what 100% Digital means for them. During these sessions, we will present the functionalities under development. The sessions are being organised in Rijnsburg, Aalsmeer and Honselersdijk. And are given in Dutch. The buyer sessions are practical sessions during which we will gladly answer all your questions.
