Software supplier Florisoft is building a golden key for Floriday
Software suppliers are working hard on 100% Digital on both the grower and the buyer side. Software supplier Florisoft is also well on the way to integrating the API link with Floriday as seamlessly as possible with its own software package. They consider the new PSD2 legislation to be a challenge, but also see it as an opportunity to further professionalise and prepare the industry for the future. 100% Digital
Florisoft is an experienced player in the floriculture industry. In 1995, Florisoft was founded as a local software supplier for a few prominent buyers at the auction; we have since grown to become market leader. We understand the steps that Royal FloraHolland is taking with Floriday. Our goal is to integrate 100% Digital for both buyer and supplier as seamlessly as possible within our platform. We believe it is important for users to be able to use it in the same way as they are used to.
The announcement of the temporary leniency was a good idea. Developments in Floriday are moving fast. This offers extra scope to ensure that we take these changes into account in our developments.
Golden key
Floriday has an API link with various functionalities and modules. At Florisoft, we are first focusing on the functionalities that enable our customers to comply with 100% digital. This includes functionalities that the buyer already has and uses with the Floramondo link. We will continue to enrich these functionalities in the coming period, focusing in the API link on the components that ultimately save time and money for the customer.
The advantage of this integration and 100% Digital is that trading becomes less error-prone for users. Standardisation takes place by means of a central platform: Floriday. Thanks to the API link, adjustments can be made and implemented quickly. In short, it’s a golden key that gives customers access to supply in the way in which they are accustomed, and they meet the requirements of 100% digital.
Professionalisation in the floriculture industry
The Netherlands is currently still a global player in the field of floriculture. I think everyone in the industry should strive to keep it that way. After all, this is good for everyone. Digitisation can certainly be a good means of retention and attraction.
Presently, it is a huge, difficult task involving setbacks, such as the forthcoming Brexit and the current Corona pandemic, which is affecting everyone worldwide. There are challenges all round. Nevertheless, we think the energy and effort will ultimately pay off. We’re not quite there yet, but we’re getting closer to the final goal by the day.
