Floriday has recently launched the new functionalities 'My Shop' for growers and 'Direct purchasing' for buyers. In recent weeks, we have had a number of queries regarding these two functionalities and are now pleased to respond to these for you. In this way, should you be a grower, you will know exactly what the possibilities are regarding 'My Shop' and, if you are a buyer, you will learn how to work with 'Direct purchasing'.

For growers

  • What is 'My Shop' in Floriday? Is it your own webshop?
No, 'My Shop' is not your own webshop. It is a functionality in Floriday that allows you to present your products to buyers. Think of it as a kind of display window that you can divide into collections. Buyers can buy there direct. In order to activate your shop, you don't need your own webshop.
  • How do I activate the shop?
Activate your shop in the Floriday menu. As soon as you have the supply online in Floriday (by saving catalogue or lot prices), it will also be immediately available in your shop.
  • Can anyone who logs in to Floriday see the supply in my shop?
Only buyers with whom you are connected and whom you have added to your price groups will see the items in your shop. The buyer will see all of the supply in your shop. It is also possible for buyers to select favourites.
  • You can send a purchasing tip through the shop in Floriday. Do the articles already need to be online in order to be able to send a purchasing tip?
No, the supply doesn't have to be online yet. Of course, the article does have to be in your catalogue in order to send a purchasing tip.
  • What is the difference between a shop order and an ordinary Florecom call?
Ordering through your shop is convenient, especially for buyers who make little or no use of their own software system. These buyers currently call in/mail a lot of orders, but this can also be done digitally through your shop. This is what the shop is for and, what's more, orders through My Shop are 100% Digital. Orders placed on My Shop can also be sent by Floriday to your package as Florecom. For the rest, nothing is different between these orders or those placed using the buyer's package.
  • Is the shop ultimately the successor to the week lists?
No, it is an extra functionality, not a replacement. It is precisely intended for buyers who don't have their own purchasing system. This means they no longer need to call in/text their orders.
All the supply you have online can be found in the shop. In the weekly lists, a buyer makes their own selections and retrieves these through their system. This allows the buyer to see the supply in two places and select whether it is purchased directly in the shop or from their own system through the week lists.

For buyers

  • As a buyer, how long will I be able to place normal orders from FloraXchange? And is My Shop the successor to this?
For the time being, buyers can still place regular orders from FloraXchange. However, FloraXchange will eventually be phased out. No date has yet been set for this. You could certainly see My Shop as a replacement, as it shows customer-specific prices for buyers.
  • Is it true that only buyers with a Floriday account can see growers’ shops?
Yes, buyers need a Floriday account. A login can be created through My Royal FloraHolland. To do so, go to www.floriday.io/sign up and choose 'buyer'.
  • How can I make sure that the grower will use their shop and that I can shop here?
Get in touch with growers with whom you do business and ask them to activate their shops so that you can buy directly from them. NB: You do however have to be connected with the grower before you can see the supply in the shop.
  • How do I create a connection? I don't have the option to click 'Connect'.
You still have your network management in FloraXchange (FX). With the arrival of the customer portal and customer API (Floriday buyer components), the need has also arisen to be able to follow growers and make item selections in Floriday. In order to do this, a selection must be made as to which system takes priority (FX or Floriday). For technical reasons, we are unable to synchronise the connections from Floriday to FloraXchange. The choice you have:

    - Managing the network completely in Floriday
    - Continuing to manage the network in FX and synchronising it with Floriday.

  • How do I search for an item?
Buyers can see a grower's catalogue on Floriday under Network.
