What does 100% Digital mean for me if I only sell via the clock?

All direct transactions at the Royal FloraHolland marketplace will have to be made digitally by the end of this year. This will increase the efficiency and speed of both the stock and the demand and will help us as an industry to comply with the tightened financial laws in Europe. We call this ‘100% Digital by the end of 2020’. But what does this mean for growers who only supply to the clock? Do they have to meet these requirements too? We made a list of a number of frequently asked questions.

Does 100% Digital also impact growers who only work via the clock?

Growers who only supply via the clock do not have to meet the requirements for '100% Digital' by the end of 2020. The aim of the 100% Digital programme is to have the direct transactions take place correctly according to European guidelines. The clock transactions already comply with these requirements.

This means that growers have to make their direct trade stock available online in Floriday and that customers buy from them via the Floriday channels. For both growers as well as customers the following applies: it can be done through a link with Floriday from your own software package or directly through Floriday.

What does this mean for clock growers who work with their own software package?

Many growers work with their own software package or EAB package, like Olsthoorn, Novasoft or SDF. These software providers will establish links with Floriday in the coming months, because they often serve growers that do not just supply to the clock. Software providers also want to make it possible to use Floriday to create a clock delivery via a link. Depending on the software provider's schedule, clock growers may indirectly have to deal with this. Your software provider will inform you. You can find more information about software providers' schedules here.

What does this mean for clock growers who create their clock deliveries in Floriday?

In Floriday you can create clock deliveries for the Aalsmeer, Naaldwijk, Rijnsburg, and Eelde auction locations. A delivery form for Veiling Rhein-Maas can also be created. You will soon be able to create a clock delivery for Plantion in Floriday too.

In Floriday you enter delivery information, choose the correct auction location and auction groups and add items or lots. You then determine the load and the number of packaging units and take care of logistics. Floriday supports more than four lots per trolley. At the end you can print delivery forms to attach to the trolley(s).

Are you already using Floriday for this?

If so, nothing changes and you can continue working the way you are used to. Would you like to receive instruction about this possibility in Floriday? Follow one of our workshops! Floriday is still being improved. See what you can already do and what we are still working on here.
