Flower growers positive about Floriday developments

"Unravelling the commercial, logistical and financial aspects and thereby phasing out the EAB is essential to the sector’s digital efficiency", according to the participants in the second session of strategic flower growers.

This involves a group of ten flower growers, representing nine product groups. They meet once every quarter under the chairmanship of Ronald Grootscholten from Florpartners.

The people who built Floriday, Jefry van den Hoeven and Raymond van Sassen, are taking this opportunity to enter into a discussion with the flower growers and show them the progress that has been made with Floriday, and also to check whether we are on the right track.

During September's meeting, Jefry gave a demo showing what Floriday currently has to offer.

The following topics were discussed:

  1. Entering articles
  2. Creating collections
  3. Continuous improvement of user-friendliness
  4. Creating and managing virtual stock
  5. Delivery from stock and location management
  6. The initial version of stickering

The participants were pleasantly surprised by the progress made. After the demo, various other functionalities were also discussed, such as the planned Clock Presales and the FloraMondo ‘smart plug’. The feature that allows the virtual placement of all stock without an EAB was especially popular. This is the first step towards phasing out the EAB.

According to one of the group members, "this will really solve some of the problems in the floriculture sector".
