Workshop Floriday well attended during the first Cooperative Day

The first Cooperative Day took place on Thursday, December 12 for members, customers and partners of Royal FloraHolland. On the day, visitors took a look at the prosperous future of the sector. More than 700 participants attended the Cooperative Day and are working hard together towards a prosperous future for the floriculture sector.

The programme of the Cooperative Day consisted of various elements. Theme sessions were held on diverse topics. Floriday gave three workshops on 'the platform economy and Floriday'. Jefry van den Hoeven and Bas La-Graauw informed the public about the impact of a platform economy and what this entails for the floriculture sector.

'By being ready for the future together with the cooperative, we are taking the first steps in digitisation. This allows us to create a digital infrastructure that is future-proof, speeds up things and ensures efficiency' (Jefry van den Hoeven)

During the Floriday workshop, the audience was able to ask Jefry and Bas questions. A frequently asked question was ‘how can I offer a specific range for one customer?' This question has arisen more often recently during the member sessions and conversations with growers. The purchasing tip is the first development of this issue, and was presented during the Cooperative Day. The 110 workshop visitors were able to indicate whether 'the purchasing tip' would work for them. This input is being processed in the definitive 'purchasing tip' that will (soon) go live on Floriday.

In the Floriday booth, the Floriday experts were present to meet everyone and answer questions. Various shortcuts have been installed on users' phones and tips were shared to work even more effectively with Floriday.

We look back on a very successful day, where we were able to inform and inspire the target group through workshops, questions and meeting new people. We are convinced that together with the sector we are heading towards a bright future!
